Brand History
In the ’60s, people in Taiwan still used wooden pencils as the main writing instrument.
The founder of the Pioneer Industrial Corp., Mr. K.C. Chuang felt it was very inconvenient to sharpen wooden pencils all the time and decided to invest a considerable amount of capital to purchase the patent right for the Non-Sharpening Pencil.
The Pioneer Industrial Corporation was established
The Pioneer Industrial Corporation was established in 1967, to produce the Non-Sharpening Pencil, based solely on the patent and a prototype of the Non-Sharpening Pencil.
At that time, the industry of Taiwan was still very primitive and the condition of the Research and Development was very hard. No adequate machinery was available so the production depended wholly on manual labour, As a results, the quality was unstable and poor, and the production cost was very high.
Mr. Chuang, decided to pursue automation
Bensia founder, Mr. Chuang, decided to pursue automation to solve these problems so after several months of trial and error, the first automatic assembly machine was on stream on June 20, 1969.
After getting into the phase of automatic production, the quality has been improved, and the productivity has been increased immensely. The production cost has been cut to a competitive level, enabling Bensia to move into the world market.
Bensia are always aware of the importance of technology, and continuously devoted to further development and improvement of their automatic machinery. To reach the goal of better quality and lower production cost, Bensia’s efforts on the Research and Development never ceased.
They have been promoted in world market under the trade mark of BENSIA in over 90 countries.
